Our Commitment to Your Privacy (PDPA)
At The Avenuary, we deeply value the trust you place in us by sharing your reflections and personal journeys. We are committed to managing your personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) of Singapore.
How We Protect Your Data
Purpose & Consent: We collect personal information, including your reflections and journal entries, to provide you with the services of The Avenuary. By using our platform, you consent to:
Storage: The secure storage of your reflections as part of your personal journaling experience.
Future AI Enhancement: The processing of your reflections by our AI systems. This processing is designed to provide you with personalized insights, supportive feedback, and improved advice to enhance your personal growth journey.
You may withdraw your consent for AI processing at any time through your account settings or by contacting our data protection representative.
Security Arrangements: We implement reasonable security measures, including industry-standard encryption, to protect your sensitive reflections from unauthorized access, collection, use, or disclosure.
Data Retention & Minimization: We only retain your personal data for as long as is necessary to provide you with The Avenuary services and to fulfill our legal or regulatory obligations.
Active Accounts: For as long as you maintain an active account, we retain your reflections and entries to ensure your sanctuary remains accessible to you.
Account Deletion: Should you choose to delete your account, we will permanently remove or anonymize your personal data and reflections from our active databases within 30 days, unless we are legally required to retain specific information for a longer period.
Data Integrity: We regularly audit our data storage to ensure we are not holding onto information that is no longer required for the operation of the platform.
Your Rights: Access and Correction
Under the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), you have the right to manage the personal data we hold about you.
Right of Access: You may request to access the personal data we hold about you and request information on how your data has been used or disclosed by us within the past year.
Right of Correction: You may request to correct any errors or omissions in your personal data. We are committed to ensuring the information we hold is accurate and complete, especially when it is used to provide services to you.
How to Exercise Your Rights
To request access to or correction of your personal data, please contact our Data Protection representative as described in the “Contacting Us” section below.
Response Time: We will respond to your request as soon as reasonably possible, and generally within 30 days. Please note that in certain limited circumstances (such as those prescribed by law), we may be unable to grant your request, in which case we will provide you with the reasons for our decision.
Accountability: We have implemented procedures to ensure our data handling remains compliant with the PDPA. We are prepared to notify the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) and affected users should a data breach occur that is likely to result in significant harm.
Protecting Your Digital Sanctuary
At The Avenuary, we are committed to maintaining a safe, serene space for your personal growth and reflection. We employ industry-standard security measures — including encrypted data transmission and secure database storage — to protect the integrity of your reflections and the privacy of your account.
However, security is a shared responsibility. To ensure your sanctuary remains truly private, please observe the following guidelines:
Do Not Store Sensitive Credentials: The Avenuary is not designed as a secure digital vault. Please do not record or store passwords, PINs, bank account numbers, government-issued IDs, credit card details, or other highly sensitive authentication credentials within your reflections, journals, or notes.
The Scope of Our Protection: While we utilize robust security protocols, The Avenuary cannot guarantee the absolute security of your account if your personal device is compromised or if your login credentials are stolen. We are not liable for the loss or misuse of sensitive credentials stored within your entries in violation of these guidelines.
Personal Security Habits: Small, steady habits protect the sanctuary as much as our infrastructure does.
Use a Dedicated Manager: For sensitive information (like passwords and banking data), we strongly recommend using a dedicated, encrypted password manager.
Account Hygiene: Use a unique, strong password for your The Avenuary account that you do not use on other platforms.
Secure Your Access: Enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) on your email account associated with The Avenuary, as this is often the “master key” to your digital life.
Device Safety: Be mindful of where you access your sanctuary. Avoid logging into your account from public or shared computers, and always ensure you sign out of your session when you are finished, especially on mobile devices.
Visual Assets · AI-Generated Imagery
At The Avenuary, we utilize advanced AI technology to curate the visual experience of our sanctuary. We believe in being transparent about how our brand is represented.
Synthetic Media Disclosure: All imagery on this website depicting human figures is generated by artificial intelligence. These figures do not represent real individuals, and no personal identity, likeness, or private information of any actual person was used to create them.
Disclaimer of Identity Rights: Because these images are purely synthetic, they do not violate the publicity or personality rights of any living or deceased individuals. We have taken reasonable steps to ensure our AI models generate unique, non-referential characters to prevent the inadvertent creation of real-world likenesses.
Limitation of Liability: Users acknowledge that these images are for illustrative purposes only. The Avenuary shall not be held liable for any perceived resemblance between AI-generated figures and any real-world persons. Any similarity to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental.
Intellectual Property: All visual content created for The Avenuary remains our property (or that of our service providers). Users are granted a limited license to view this content in the context of the website but may not scrape, reproduce, or repurpose these images for commercial use without our explicit permission.
User Data Deletion Policy: The Right to Unfold
Just as life evolves, so should your archive.
Intentional Removal: If you decide to close your sanctuary, you may request the deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.
Storage Cleanup: You have the power to perform manual storage cleanups, allowing you to remove individual notes or images you no longer wish to keep.
Portability: Before departing, you may export your sanctuary’s history into a single ZIP file, preserving your life’s work as you move forward.
